As a company, Mane UK have helped thousands of people worldwide to deal with their daily hair thinning issues. This experience allows us to not only make sure we improve our products offer only the best possible hair treatments available in the market but also the opportunity to educate our customers. As part of our journey to becoming the UK’s leading provider of hair thickening and strengthening products, we often come across a variety of misconceptions in the industry. The common belief that hair loss is hereditary and not possible to be avoided is something we often hear and is wholly untrue.

Hair loss and thinning is something that many of us will experience in our lives so let’s take a closer look at one of the reasons this may be happening. Deficiency in Iron. Yes, you read correctly. Hair loss can indeed occur for many a reason in both men and women. The most common cause of hair loss is DHT, an androgenic hormone that effectively miniaturises your hair follicles, causing the hair around your hairline and crown to get thinner and thinner with an eventual result of falling out.

What is more, women may also lose hair due to a lack of nutrients, particularly a deficiency of iron or also known as anaemia. Lack of receiving the necessary iron quantities, can affect your body and its ability to supply oxygen and haemoglobin to the cells.  Hemoglobin carries oxygen for the growth and repair of cells in your body and is responsible for stimulating and maintaining the growth of your hair and hence thinning or hair loss can potentiality occur.

Iron deficiency happens for a plethora of reasons such as an iron-free diet or poor absorption of the nutrient. Other causes of anaemia include illness, loss of blood (particularly in menstruating women), pregnancy and growth spurts in children. Make sure to add as many iron-rich meals and ingredients in your diet such as liver and other organ meats, shellfish, beans, dried fruit, nuts and fortified cereals.

When it comes to strengthening your hair, we strongly advise the use of our Mane Hair Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner products available directly on our website. Mane Hair Thickening Shampoo has been specially formulated to thicken, protect and strengthen your hair as well as help your hair to re-grow. The product is made for both men and women and can be used with both the Mane Hair Thickener and Mane Hair Thickening Fibres. We recommend that you use the Mane Hair Thickening Conditioner before you apply the Mane Hair Thickening Fibres for better and longer lasting results.
